Families interested in donating now to support lower class sizes in 2023-2024 can now contribute to: future fund.  Your support early allows the school to better plan classes for next year.

 

Working with the principal, we provide funds to purchase extra class sections.  A section is defined as one class taught during one period. The more classes we offer, the more scheduling options there are for students, thereby reducing average class sizes in all classes at Los Cerros.  Mr. Briggs strategically engineers the schedule so that class size is reduced most in our academic subjects, including Core, Math, and Science.

 

In 2022-22, the Boosters fund provided 8 class sections and LCMS families raised over $124,000, allowing class size to be reduced by an average of 15%. Currently, Boosters has committed to funding 8 class sections for the 2023-24 school year. We can meet this goal if more families contribute – our goal is 100% participation.  

The more money we raise, the more class sections we can fund, and the more we reduce our average class size.  It’s that simple!  With your participation now, we can commit to the funding that supports our Distinguished California School.

 

Please make a tax-deductible donation online via Future Fund.  You can also donate via check payable to The Los Cerros Academic & Technology Boosters, Tax ID #68 0473831.  Please mail your check along with the enclosed form to Los Cerros, 968 Blemer Road, Danville 94526.

Many companies will match your tax deductible LCMS donation, dollar for dollar.  Please take a few minutes to see if your company will match your donation.  Five minutes of your time doubles your donation – and your impact on our school - at no cost to you!  Los Cerros gets another donation and your company gets a tax write-off. 

 

Many employers have timelines within which a match must be requested, so please submit your request as soon as possible.  Employees must make their own match requests.  The process is not initiated by the Ed Fund.  If both you and your spouse work, make sure you check with BOTH parents' employers.  You may be able to triple your donation!

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

 

Step 1: If you’re not sure if your company matches, visit the matching gifts site to see if your company matches employee donations. If it does, click the Matching Gift Form URL link in the results to go directly to your matching system or to access the form on your company’s intranet. 

 

Step 2:  Retrieve your registration or donation receipt.  You should have received an email with your receipt attached.  If you can no longer locate your receipt, please email us to ask for a copy.

 

Step 3: Submit a match for each tax deductible donation listed on your registration receipt. Please be sure to submit separate match requests for payments to Ed Fund, PTA, and the school itself as each has a different Tax ID. 

 

 

**Please note that in some HR systems, the Ed Fund tax ID may show up with the name "San Ramon Valley Education Foundation" or "SRVEF".  This is because the Los Cerros Ed Fund is a subsidiary of SRVEF.  If this is the case, please verify that the address is 968 Blemer Road and then continue to submit your match.  If the address is not correct, please contact our Corporate Match Chair at LosCerrosMiddleSchool@gmail.com before submitting your match.  If submitting a match to the incorrect address is your only option, please include "For Los Cerros Middle School Ed Fund" in the notes or comments section.  This will help route your match to our school.
